Q: What do I wear?
A: For women, a leotard and tights, or leggings and
a form fitting t-shirt. For men, form fitting sweat pants,
or shorts with bicycle briefs and a form fitting t-shirt.
Q:
I heard you actually grow taller - is this true?
A: Well, what happens is that you regain your original
stature because you're re-learning to support your spine by
strengthening all of your abdominal muscles and the muscles
of your lower back.
Q:
I have never taken a dance or yoga class in my life - is that
a problem?
A: Not at all. After studying Pilates you will begin moving with the agility of a dancer and develop heightened awareness of your body.
Q:
How many sessions a week should I take?
A: To really find results quickly, two sessions a week
are recommended. However, one session a week supplementing
another exercise mode is also beneficial.
Q:
Should I stretch beforehand?
A: Stretching beforehand is not necessary.
